About the Role
Chicken Hut (Portuguese Bar-B-Q Shop) is recruiting a Branch Manager in Harare. The role takes full accountability for branch performance: operational control, stock accuracy, food-safety compliance, staff management, customer experience, and achieving sales and cost targets.
Key responsibilities
- Operations & performance: run the branch smoothly across AM and PM shifts, enforce SOPs and standards, and drive daily and weekly sales targets
- Stock & cost control: supervise daily stock counts, investigate variances, enforce FIFO and wastage control, verify supplier deliveries, and prevent pilferage
- Cash & turnover: ensure accurate daily cash-ups and banking, and resolve shortages or overages immediately
- Staff management: manage attendance, rosters and discipline, and provide on-the-job training and coaching
- Food safety & hygiene: ensure full compliance with hygiene, health and food-safety standards
- Reporting: submit accurate daily, weekly and monthly reports and support audits and inspections
Requirements
- 2–4 years’ experience in fast food / QSR / restaurant operations
- Proven experience in stock control and staff supervision
- Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
- Strong numeracy, discipline and attention to detail
- Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality, Operations or Business Management (preferred)
- Food Safety / HACCP training is an added advantage
