Business Systems & Software Development Lead

We are hiring: Business Systems & Software Development Lead. Harare, Zimbabwe. Group-wide role, regular site travel.

The Business Systems and Software Development Lead will lead the development and integration of our business systems, connecting operational and financial information to improve decisions and day-to-day work across our sites. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will work closely with Finance, operating teams, IT and our external development partners.

What you’ll do

• Lead the integration between our ERP and operational software platforms.
• Turn operational and finance needs into clear requirements and testable acceptance criteria.
• Manage external development partners on scope, quality, cost and milestones.
• Own data quality, testing and controlled software releases across sites.
• Build practical integrations, tools and automations, using AI-assisted development where it adds value.

What you’ll bring

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years in software development or business systems, including 3+ years leading delivery or integrations.
• Proven delivery of an ERP-to-operational-system integration through go-live and support.
• Hands-on SQL, APIs, data modelling and at least one programming language.
• Understanding of purchasing, inventory, costing and financial reconciliation.
• Mining or multi-site operations experience is an advantage.
