About the Role

A Business Unit Manager vacancy has arisen in the Group, based at Duly's Bulawayo.

Key responsibilities
- Take accountability for the day-to-day operations of the business unit and ensure efficient, effective use of its resources.
- Formulate, implement and monitor Business Unit plans and budgets; achieve monthly and annual sales, revenue and profitability targets.
- Implement and control the approved budget and financial controls; analyse expenses against budget and address variances; run month-end and year-end procedures.
- Manage all company assets (stocks, cash, debtors, fixed and movable assets); maintain good relations with customers, suppliers and stakeholders; drive customer retention and satisfaction.
- Identify and exploit new business; formulate and implement the unit's marketing and promotional programmes; monitor performance against KPIs; apply internal controls; direct, train, motivate and supervise staff and conduct quarterly performance reviews.

Requirements

- Degree in Commercial, Marketing, Accounting, Finance, Sales, Logistics, Engineering or equivalent, OR proven management prowess and experience in the motor or related industries.
- A postgraduate degree/diploma in Management, Business, Marketing or a related field an advantage (not mandatory).
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar or related environment, 2 of which at supervisory level.
- Clean Class 4 driver's licence.
