About the Role
Bindura University of Science Education is recruiting Casual Security Guards.
Duties:
- Provide security services for University premises, staff, students, visitors and property.
- Control access to University buildings and facilities by checking identification and authorising entry.
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to detect and prevent security breaches.
- Monitor and report suspicious activities, safety hazards and security incidents.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, alarms and incidents in accordance with established procedures.
- Prevent theft, vandalism, trespassing and other unlawful activities.
- Assist in crowd control during University events and functions and enforce University security policies.
- Maintain accurate occurrence books and incident reports; perform gate control duties including vehicle and pedestrian inspections.

Requirements
- At least three (3) Ordinary Level passes, including English Language.
- Previous experience in security services.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills; physically fit and medically capable of performing security duties.
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, public holidays and night duty; ability to write clear and accurate reports.
- Basic knowledge of security procedures and emergency response.
Skills: Honest, trustworthy and of high integrity; alert and observant; disciplined and dependable; able to remain calm under pressure; professional in appearance and conduct; a team player with good customer service skills.
