About the Role
Implement the National Library policy, standards and guidelines at provincial level. Reports to the Director, Library, Documentation and Technical Services.
Duties:
- Monitor long-term maintenance and improvement of library facilities.
- Oversee cataloguing, classification, acquisition and weeding of materials.
- Train and support librarians and teacher librarians; facilitate registration of affiliate libraries; develop stakeholder partnerships.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Library and Information Science, Information Management or equivalent (a relevant Master's an added advantage).
- At least 6 years in the Librarian grade or equivalent.
- In-depth knowledge of library management systems and information literacy; proficiency in ICT and digital library platforms.
- Management and supervisory skills; strong written and oral communication.
