Director, Community Engagement and Outreach

POST 5: Director, Community Engagement and Outreach. Full time.

Main responsibilities

• Planning, developing and executing community engagement strategies.
• Advising the Community Engagement Committee (CEC) on all matters concerning community engagement projects.
• Ensuring compliance with community engagement policies.
• Developing communication guidelines and ensuring consistency.
• Organising online events to drive community engagement.
• Mentoring and evaluating Community Engagement team members.
• Revising current strategies and seeking potential improvements.
• Establishing KPIs.
• Developing and maintaining effective relationships with valued users.
• Any other duties as assigned by the Executive Director in the Vice Chancellor's Office.

Qualifications and experience

• A minimum of a Master's degree in Social Sciences or equivalent.
• A relevant Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences or equivalent.
• Possession of a PhD would be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of Open and Distance e-Learning (ODeL) would be an added advantage.
• At least five (5) years of relevant post-qualification experience.
