About the Role
Reporting to the Head Electrician.
Key Result Areas:
- Assist in producing specifications and designs of new public lighting, traffic signals and municipal electrical infrastructure and modifications.
- Assist in designing, selection and installation of all electrical plant and equipment such as power transformers, power generators, motors and motor control centres, refrigeration units and air-conditioners, building lighting, heating and ventilation systems.
- Assist in designing and installation of new public-lighting schemes.
- Assist in troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning equipment, appliances and apparatus.
- Construct and fabricate parts using hand tools and specifications.
- Order electrical supplies and equipment.
- Repair electrical faults at all municipal installations.
- Supervise subordinate employees.
- Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

Requirements
- National Certificate in Electrical Engineering.
- Skilled Worker Class 1 in Electrical Engineering.
- A clean class 4 or 3 driver's licence.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience.
- Clean criminal record.
- Results oriented.
