About the Role

United Methodist Healthcare Trust (UMHT) is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the position of Handyman.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out routine maintenance and repair works at UMHT facilities.
  • Perform plumbing, electrical and basic mechanical repairs.
  • Maintain equipment (generators, pumps, infrastructure) and conduct inspections.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests across departments and clinics.
  • Ensure work is completed safely and to organisational standards.
  • Maintain tools, records and transport materials to various UMHT sites.
  • Perform any other maintenance-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Class 2 Journeyman Certificate in Maintenance Fitting Engineering or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's Licence.
  • Knowledge of basic plumbing and electrical installation and maintenance.
  • At least two (2) years' practical experience in a similar role.
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
