About the Role
United Methodist Healthcare Trust (UMHT) is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the position of Handyman.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out routine maintenance and repair works at UMHT facilities.
- Perform plumbing, electrical and basic mechanical repairs.
- Maintain equipment (generators, pumps, infrastructure) and conduct inspections.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests across departments and clinics.
- Ensure work is completed safely and to organisational standards.
- Maintain tools, records and transport materials to various UMHT sites.
- Perform any other maintenance-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- Class 2 Journeyman Certificate in Maintenance Fitting Engineering or equivalent.
- Valid Driver's Licence.
- Knowledge of basic plumbing and electrical installation and maintenance.
- At least two (2) years' practical experience in a similar role.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
