About the Role
Reporting to the Roads and Projects Engineer.
Key Result Areas:
- Produce specifications and designs of new public lighting, traffic signals and municipal electrical infrastructure and modifications.
- Design, selection and installation of all electrical plant and equipment such as power transformers, power generators, motors and motor control centres, refrigeration units and air-conditioners, building lighting, heating and ventilation systems.
- Design and installation of new public-lighting schemes.
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment, appliances and apparatus.
- Construct and fabricate parts using hand tools and specifications.
- Order electrical supplies and equipment.
- Repair electrical faults at all municipal installations.
- Supervise subordinate employees.
- Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

Requirements
- National Diploma in Electrical Engineering, or Skilled Worker Class 1 and an Electrical Engineering Certificate.
- A clean class 4 or 3 driver's licence.
- A minimum of 6 years' experience.
- Clean criminal record.
- Results oriented.
