About the Role
Unit: Registry and Operations. Location: CEIRD, Harare. The IT Manager ensures that the institution's information-technology systems, infrastructure and digital resources support organisational objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, databases, applications and connectivity.
- Assess technology needs and design, implement and upgrade IT infrastructure solutions.
- Develop cybersecurity measures, data-security protocols, backup systems and disaster-recovery plans.
- Plan, coordinate and supervise IT projects; monitor progress, changes and stakeholder requirements.
- Design and deliver IT training and capacity-building programmes.
- Develop and review IT policies, procedures and standards.
- Administer institutional data-management systems and data-governance frameworks.

Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or a related field (a Master's degree is an added advantage).
- Minimum three years of relevant experience in IT, Computer Science or a related field.
- ITIL Foundation Certification; Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate and CISSP are added advantages.
- Strong knowledge of network administration, server management, databases, cloud computing and cybersecurity; experience in IT governance, risk management, business-continuity planning and IT service management.
