About the Role
Full-Time Lecturer, School of Social Work, Faculty of Social and Gender Transformative Sciences — Bulawayo Campus.
Must be able to teach:
1. Social Work Ethics and Values;
2. Social Work with Groups;
3. Industrial Social Work;
4. Social Work and Management;
5. Integrated Social Work.
Responsibilities / Key Tasks
- Planning and reviewing course content.
- Monitoring and improving students' educational performance.
- Preparing suitable participatory teaching materials.
- Conducting lectures and seminars using student-centred methods.
- Evaluating the effectiveness of the learning programme.
- Supervising students on attachment.
- Supervising students' research projects.
- Evaluating individual student performance and improving their performance.
- Assessing, evaluating and recording marks for students.
- Engaging in university and community service, research, innovation and industrialisation.

Requirements
- Master of Science in Social Work from a recognised University.
- Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Social Work from a recognised University.
- Registration with the Council of Social Workers.
- Minimum of two years' experience in a lectureship role at an institution of higher learning.
Competencies:
- Proven research abilities.
- Proven community engagement activities.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities with accuracy and to pay attention to detail.
