Mine Surveyor

Job location: Shamva, Zimbabwe. Contract: Fixed-Term. Closing date: apply early.

The Mine Surveyor will:
- Ensure accurate underground and surface plans are produced for mining operations in line with mining regulations.
- Prepare and issue layouts to direct underground mining activities.
- Survey shafts, shaft brackets, hoist chambers, ore pass raises, haulages and raises.
- Set out works underground and on the surface, including paint lines, line pegs and side grades.
- Survey stockpiles, excavations, rock dumps and slimes dumps.
- Conduct month-end measuring by picking stope faces and development ends.
- Ensure production of month-end reports and surface and underground plans.
- Ensure Mine Claims or Mining Lease beacons are erected and maintained.
- Inspect areas to avoid illegal pegging.
