About the Role
Applications for the two-year Certificate Primary Care Nurse Training are invited by the Ministry of Health and Child Care. Commencement dates: 04/01/27, 03/05/27 and 06/09/27.
Training schools by intake
- January: Gokwe South, Mnene, Murambinda, Mt St Mary's Wedza, Nkayi, Sanyati, St Theresa, Nyadire, Mt Selinda.
- May: Gokwe South, Inyathi, Nkayi, St Alberts.
- September: Gokwe South, Inyathi, Luisa Guidotti, Mt Darwin, Murambinda, Nkayi, Mutambara, Muvonde, Mt St Mary's Wedza, Sanyati, Silveira, St Theresa, Tshelanyemba, Howard, Nyadire.
Shortlisted candidates must present, at interview, original and certified copies of Birth Certificate, National ID, O-Level certificates, Marriage Certificate (where applicable) and 2 passport photos. Verification of original certificates will be done by ZIMSEC for successful candidates.

- A minimum of 5 Ordinary Level subjects at grade C or better.
- English Language and a Science subject (Biology, Chemistry, Integrated Science, Physical Science, Combined Science or Physics).
- The other three subjects should exclude practical subjects (Fashion & Fabrics, Metal Work, Technical Graphics, Art, Woodwork, Physical Education, Building, etc.).
- Passes obtained from not more than THREE sittings, with original certificates (result slips are not accepted).
- Aged between 18 and 45 years by the commencement dates.

NB: the Ministry of Health and Child Care does not advertise through any other media except state print media and does NOT charge any fee for processing applications. Use of fake certificates is a serious criminal offence.
