Principal Nursing Officer / Nursing Manager
About the Role
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical operations & quality: lead nursing operations, ensure clinical-governance compliance, monitor outcomes and drive continuous improvement.
- Governance, compliance & risk: lead quality-improvement programmes, manage adverse-event investigations, accreditation and regulatory compliance.
- People management: recruit, develop, mentor and retain nursing staff; coordinate CPD, succession planning and the Post Graduate School of Nursing.
- Financial management: support budgeting, resource planning and cost-effective care.
- Stakeholder engagement and strategic business development.
Requirements
- Post-Basic Nursing qualification, preferably in Operating Theatre Nursing.
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) an added advantage.
- Current registration with (or ability to register with) the Nurses Council of Zimbabwe (essential).
- Strong leadership, communication and counselling skills; clinical governance, quality-assurance and risk-management expertise; sound knowledge of healthcare legislation.
