Recoveries Officers (Harare & Bulawayo)

About the Role
Zimnat Microfinance seeks results-oriented Recoveries Officers (Harare x1, Bulawayo x1; fixed-term, 6 months) to manage delinquent loan accounts and maintain a healthy, sustainable loan portfolio in line with the organisation's credit and risk-management frameworks.
The Job
- Follow up on delinquent accounts through calls, SMS, field visits and formal notices.
- Negotiate repayment plans and ensure customers adhere to agreed terms.
- Conduct field investigations on overdue clients where necessary.
- Prepare daily and weekly arrears reports for management.
- Support litigation processes, including Small Claims Court documentation and liaison with legal practitioners.
- Maintain, reconcile and analyse written-off and non-performing loan portfolios.
- Maintain updated records of client interactions and payment arrangements.
- Recommend appropriate recovery strategies and work with branch teams to maintain healthy portfolios.

Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Banking, Finance, Business Management or a related field.
- At least 2 years' experience in debt collection or recoveries within a financial institution.
- Valid driver's licence is an added advantage.
- Conversant with court processes, including Small Claims Court and litigation of bad debts.
- High ethical standards, strong negotiation and communication skills, professionalism, integrity and persistence.
- Strong attention to detail, organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
