Regional Officer — Masvingo

Grade: C3. Reports to: Regional Manager. Station: Masvingo. (One of two Regional Officer posts — the other is based in Mutare.)

Duties and responsibilities

• Initiation of media development activities in the region.
• Facilitate the engagement of media stakeholders.
• Initiate training and capacity building opportunities for media outlets within the region.
• Facilitate the registration of media houses and the accreditation applications.
• Receive complaints.
• Initiate budget processes for the region.

Qualifications, experience and attributes

• A degree or HND in Media Studies or any other relevant qualification.
• Excellent communication and report writing skills.
• Excellent analytical skills coupled with good computer skills.
• Ability to converse in local languages.
• Should have ability to organize events and exhibitions.
• At least two years' experience in a similar field would be an added advantage.
