Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test and maintain web, mobile and enterprise software applications.
- Write clean, efficient, secure and well-documented code.
- Develop and integrate APIs, databases and third-party systems.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Identify and resolve software defects, performance issues and system vulnerabilities.
- Participate in system architecture, application design and software development planning.
- Maintain and enhance existing applications to improve functionality, performance and user experience.
- Implement appropriate security measures to protect applications and sensitive information.
- Prepare technical documentation and provide ongoing system support.
- Keep abreast of emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to improve business operations.
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
- At least 2–3 years of relevant software development experience.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, C# or PHP.
- Experience with modern development frameworks such as React, Angular, Node.js, Django, Laravel or .NET.
- Good knowledge of relational databases, including MySQL, PostgreSQL or Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience in RESTful API development and systems integration.
- Familiarity with Git, software testing and modern development methodologies.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, cybersecurity principles and DevOps practices will be an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
