Warehouse Stock Controller

Location: Harare, Zimbabwe | Reports To: Warehouse Manager

Job Purpose: Responsible for the accurate receiving, despatching, and safekeeping of stock in the designated warehouse in line with company SOPs, while supervising the Warehouse Attendant team and ensuring full compliance with safety standards, company policies, and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receiving: Verify all incoming stock against invoices, oversee offloading, report damages and shortfalls immediately, ensure GRVs are correctly captured, and direct stacking in line with product specifications, FIFO and FEFO.
• Despatching: Check picked orders against invoices, verify product condition and batch numbers, oversee secure packing and loading, calculate turnaround for in-house trucks, and manage returns including inspection and quarantine of faulty stock.
• Team Supervision: Allocate and monitor daily duties for the Warehouse Attendant team, manage timekeeping and discipline, identify training needs, and ensure adherence to SOPs and correct uniform at all times.
• Stock Control & Warehouse Standards: Conduct daily walk-throughs and spot checks, run month-end stock age analysis, maintain clear product labelling, quarantine damaged stock, support stocktakes and reconciliations, and circulate a daily stock report to relevant HODs.
• Compliance: Enforce and monitor adherence to all company SOPs, policies, the Code of Conduct, SHE requirements, and local statutory regulations, implementing corrective action where required.
