Accounts Clerks

Zimpost (Pvt) Ltd, Harare. On-site.

The Accounts Clerk will handle daily financial transactions across Zimpost's postal, courier, financial, property, retail and agency operations.

Banking

• Verify and confirm deposits from clients and branches, including POS transactions.
• Reconcile bank accounts against cashbooks.
• Investigate and resolve deposit discrepancies.
• Update cashbooks.

Agency and cash accounts

• Maintain agency ledgers.
• Monitor and replenish agency floats.
• Reconcile branch cash accounts.
• Calculate commissions and payments.
• Maintain payment vouchers and accounting records.

Debtors

• Generate invoices and monthly statements.
• Maintain debtors' listings and age analysis.
• Follow up on overdue accounts and rental arrears.
• Allocate EFT payments and reconcile customer ledgers.

Qualifications and experience

• Five O-Level passes, including English, Accounts and Mathematics, plus two A-Level passes.
• Diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Part B SAAA, CIS, IAC, CIMA or equivalent is an added advantage.
