About the Role
Zimasco (Pvt) Limited has a career opportunity within its Shurugwi & South Dyke Mining Division. Location: Shurugwi. Work format: 5-year fixed-term contract, renewable subject to performance.
Key responsibilities
- Preparation of Trial Balance and year-end financial pack.
- Preparation of operational cashflows.
- Management of debtors and creditors.
- Maintenance of Cash Book records and bank reconciliations.
- Accurate maintenance of intercompany ledger records.
- General Ledger reconciliation.
- Attending to internal and external financial audits.
- Ensuring compliance with all statutory provisions, including VAT, PAYE, WTAX and EMA.
- Maintenance of the Asset Register.
- Development and coaching of subordinates.

Requirements
Requirements
- A first Degree in Accounting or equivalent from a reputable tertiary institution, plus at least 3 years' post-qualification experience in a mining or manufacturing environment.
- A professional accounting qualification such as CIMA or ACCA is a distinct advantage.
- Working knowledge of IFRS and International Accounting Standards (IAS) is a must.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office and an ERP system, preferably SAP (Financial Accounting Module), is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of payroll management.
- Working knowledge of safety management systems applicable to mining operations, preferably NOSA and/or ISO systems.
- Ability to communicate at all levels, verbally and in writing.
- Clean Class 4 driver's licence.
