About the Role

A Campus Radio Station Officer to market the station, build audiences and manage its online presence.

Key responsibilities
- Identify target audiences and listener demographics; analyse listener feedback, ratings and market trends; use insights to tailor campaigns and programming.
- Build relationships with communities and local businesses; develop attractive sponsorship packages for shows or events.
- Prepare marketing materials (media kits, presentations, rate cards); ensure all activities comply with industry regulations; monitor content for editorial standards.
- Work with programme directors and producers to promote on-air content; highlight popular segments, interviews and features to attract new listeners.
- Manage the station's online presence and promote content; organise concerts, roadshows, listener meetups and other promotional events.

Skills & competencies
- Strong communication, marketing and creativity skills; social-media management and content creation; knowledge of marketing strategies and branding.
- Ability to analyse engagement metrics; highly organised; passion for radio, music and student engagement; basic graphic design/video editing (Canva, Photoshop) an added advantage.

Requirements

- BSc Honours Degree in Media, Journalism, Marketing, Communication or a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years' working experience in a marketing environment; well-versed in media markets with proven client relationship management skills.
