Chief Finance Officer — ZESA

About the Role
On behalf of ZESA Private Limited. The Chief Finance Officer will provide strategic financial leadership, ensuring long-term financial sustainability, commercial viability, effective capital and funding management, and fiscal discipline, advising the Group CEO, Board and Shareholder on financial strategy and investment decisions.
Principal accountabilities
- Provide strategic financial leadership on operational performance, capital investment, business transformation, risk management and organisational sustainability.
- Review and challenge major strategic initiatives, investment proposals, acquisitions, partnerships and capital projects.
- Direct the annual Corporate Budget and Five-Year Financial Forecast.
- Develop and champion an optimal capital structure for a multi-billion-dollar capital-investment programme.
- Design a revenue assurance and enhancement strategy (metering, billing, collections).
- Oversee the Group treasury function (cash flow, liquidity, banking relationships, FX, investment of surplus funds).
- Lead internal financial controls, credit control, collections and debtor recovery.
- Manage the financial interface with ZIMRA and other fiscal authorities.
- Establish the Group's financial-risk-management framework; engage the Shareholder, Government, regulators and pension funds.
- Manage relationships with multilateral development banks, bilateral lenders, export credit agencies and commercial banks; oversee project-finance governance.

Requirements
Minimum requirements
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Commerce or a closely related discipline (mandatory).
- Chartered Accountant (CA), CFA or equivalent professional qualification in good standing (mandatory).
- An MBA, MSc in Finance or equivalent (preferred); additional qualifications in Corporate/Project/Infrastructure Finance an advantage.
- A minimum of 10 years' progressive post-qualification experience in finance and/or corporate finance.
- At least 5 years at CFO, Finance Director or equivalent executive level within a large-scale, capital-intensive organisation.
- A proven track record in financial strategy, capital structuring, project finance, treasury and liquidity management, business transformation and financial turnaround.
- Experience securing and managing funding from multilateral development institutions, DFIs and international lenders.
- Experience in a utility, infrastructure, energy, banking, project finance, mining, telecommunications or transport environment is an advantage.
