Data Protection Officer

The Council of Social Workers Zimbabwe (CSWZ) invites applications for the position of Data Protection Officer.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with data-protection laws and regulations.
• Develop, implement and monitor data-protection policies and procedures.
• Advise on IT systems security and data-handling practices.
• Conduct regular audits and risk assessments.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on data-protection matters.

Qualifications and experience

• A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• Professional certification in data protection or cybersecurity will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in IT systems management, data security or compliance.
• Strong knowledge of data-protection legislation and best practices.
• Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
