Finance Intern (12 Months)

SMEDCO is offering a 12-month Finance Internship to provide undergraduate students with practical work-related learning and exposure in accounting and financial operations. The successful candidate will support the Finance Department in day-to-day activities.

Key responsibilities (under supervision)

• Processing and filing of payments.
• Accounts Payable reconciliations and vendor-statement reconciliations.
• Cashbook reconciliations and bank reconciliations.
• Preparation of loan-disbursement documentation.
• Filing and record management of financial documents.
• Assisting with any other duties assigned by the Finance Supervisor.

Minimum requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, or any relevant field.
• A basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Strong analytical, communication and organisational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
• A valid university work-related learning approval letter.
