About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented and experienced Finance Officer to support the organisation's financial operations, ensure accurate financial reporting and maintain effective financial controls.

The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day accounting activities, financial reporting, budgeting support, reconciliations and ensuring compliance with applicable financial policies and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports and supporting schedules.
  2. Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure timely processing of financial transactions.
  3. Prepare bank reconciliations, general ledger reconciliations and other financial reconciliations.
  4. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts and budget variance reports.
  5. Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  6. Monitor cash flow and support effective working capital management.
  7. Prepare statutory returns and ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations.
  8. Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements and coordinate audit requirements.
  9. Maintain and strengthen internal financial controls, policies and procedures.
  10. Support management with financial analysis and information for decision-making.


Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  2. A professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CA(Z) or an equivalent qualification will be an added advantage.
  3. At least 3 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
  4. Good knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, budgeting and taxation.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  6. Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
  7. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  8. High levels of integrity, professionalism and ability to work with minimal supervision.
