About the Role
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for Cyber Security Graduate Trainee posts in the ICT Department.
Duties:
- Assist in monitoring the university's ICT infrastructure for security threats, suspicious activities and vulnerabilities using security monitoring tools.
- Participate in implementing and maintaining cybersecurity controls, including endpoint protection, firewalls, antivirus solutions and access management systems.
- Assist in performing vulnerability assessments, security audits and risk assessments and support corrective measures.
- Support the investigation, documentation and resolution of cybersecurity incidents (malware, phishing, unauthorised access) under senior guidance.
- Assist in developing and delivering cybersecurity awareness programmes, user training and best-practice guidelines.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Cyber Security, Information Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, Network Engineering or a related field.
- Graduated within 2 years.
- Minimum degree class: 2.1.
- Understanding of information security principles and networking concepts.
Skills: Knowledge of network security, operating systems and cybersecurity fundamentals; understanding of threat detection and vulnerability management; familiarity with security tools and technologies; analytical and problem-solving skills; strong ethical conduct and attention to detail.
