About the Role
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for Data Science Graduate Trainee posts in the ICT Department.
Duties:
- Collect, clean, analyse and interpret data from various university information systems to support evidence-based decision-making.
- Prepare dashboards, reports and visualisations that present institutional data clearly for management and stakeholders.
- Assist in maintaining data quality by validating, cleansing and documenting datasets while ensuring compliance with data governance and privacy policies.
- Participate in the development and testing of statistical, predictive and machine learning models to support planning, research and operational improvements.
- Work with academic and administrative departments to identify data needs and contribute to data-driven projects.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Economics, Information Systems or a related quantitative field.
- Graduated within the last 2 years.
- Minimum degree class: 2.1.
Skills: Knowledge of Python and/or R; understanding of statistics and data analysis; knowledge of SQL and database concepts; familiarity with data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau or Excel; basic understanding of machine learning concepts.
