Head — Health Insurance Operations

About the Role
Reports to: Managing Director.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Serving as the strategic technical lead for Healthguard International's health-insurance business, ensuring strong insurance governance, operational excellence and compliant delivery across multiple territories.
- Providing technical leadership across health-insurance operations, including portfolio optimisation, underwriting guidelines, claims, benefits, member eligibility, provider access and service-delivery standards.
- Overseeing insurance risk and capital management in consultation with Group Actuarial and the registered external actuarial consultant.
- Managing third-party administrators, provider networks and shared-service teams to ensure timely, accurate and compliant insurance service delivery.
- Translating insurance product rules, benefit structures, regulatory requirements and market practices into practical operational processes.
- Leading the digital member experience across the insurance lifecycle, from onboarding to claims resolution.

Requirements
- First degree in Insurance and Risk Management, Business Administration, Healthcare Management or equivalent.
- Certification in Project Management, Change Management or Sales Management.
- Post-qualification experience in Operations Management or a related field.
- 5–7 years' experience in Insurance, Underwriting, claims management or a related field.
- 4–6 years' experience managing multi-country service networks and third-party vendors.
