IT Support Technician

St Peter's Kubatana High School is hiring an IT Support Technician.

Duties and responsibilities

• Diagnose and fix problems with computers, laptops, printers and mobile devices.
• Answer user requests and support tickets via phone, email or chat.
• Install and configure operating systems, software programs and hardware peripherals.
• Monitor basic local network connections and fix connectivity issues.
• Create employee accounts, reset passwords and manage access permissions.
• Log support calls, track repairs and document fixes in a ticketing system.
• Teach staff how to use new hardware and software safely and correctly.

Qualifications

• National Foundation Certificate, National Certificate, National Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Systems or equivalent.
• 5 O Levels including English and Mathematics.
• Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS or Linux operating systems, basic networking and hardware repair.
• 1 to 2 years of hands-on technical or customer service experience.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Good interpersonal skills.
