Land Officer / Cartographer — Agricultural Land Provinces (7)

About the Role

Based across the eight agricultural-land provinces, reporting to the Head of Province.

Duties:
- Carry out land audits and farm inspections; provide technical support during dispute resolution, land audits and inspections.
- Prepare maps supporting investigation of land-ownership and occupation disputes; analyse spatial evidence; produce evidential maps for hearings and mediation.
- Analyse aerial photographs, orthophotos and satellite imagery; detect land-use change; validate field data (ODK, KoBoToolbox); support drone-based mapping.

Requirements

- National Diploma or HND in Cartography, Geomatics, Land Surveying, GIS and Remote Sensing or related; a relevant degree an advantage.
- Practical experience in cartography, GIS or geospatial information management; proficiency in ArcGIS, QGIS or AutoCAD Map.
- Knowledge of land surveying, cadastral surveying, map projections and coordinate systems; GPS/GNSS data collection; able to work in the field for extended periods.
