Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Analyst (NOB, Fixed Term)

Grade: NOB. Job schedule: full-time. Vacancy type: fixed term. Location: Harare, Zimbabwe.

The position

The Monitoring and Evaluation Analyst is based in the UNFPA Zimbabwe Country Office in Harare. The position is responsible for ensuring UNFPA corporate requirements relating to the development and implementation of the monitoring and evaluation framework of the UNFPA Country Programme Document. The M&E Analyst works with programme and technical staff and partner organisations to ensure the use of results-based indicators and relevant data collection and analysis to inform programming and programme adjustments.

Qualifications and experience

• Education: Master's degree in statistics, demography, health economics, public health or a related field. Postgraduate training in monitoring and evaluation is an added advantage.
• Experience: at least five years of experience in MEL in SRH/FP programming in a related field and/or research.

Candidates should also have

• Strong computer and information systems skills.
• Experience with MS Word, Excel, spreadsheets and database packages.
• Experience with web-based management systems.
• Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Good writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• Previous experience in the UN system is an advantage.

Languages

• Fluency in oral and written English is required. Working knowledge of another official UN language is an asset.
