About the Role
Vacancy Announcement No. 3 of 2026 (Ref. HR/004/26). Grade: C4. Reports to: Provincial Coordinator. Stations: Hwange (Matabeleland North) and Chinhoyi (Mashonaland West). (2 posts.)
Job purpose
To receive and action human rights cases at the provincial level.
Duties and responsibilities
a. Interview complainants, assess admissibility, classify complaints, draft legal opinions, and maintain and update case files.
b. Prepare concept notes, interview respondents and witnesses, engage stakeholders, and gather evidence.
c. Analyse legal frameworks and draft findings and recommendations.
d. Draft concept notes, prepare stakeholder invitations, attend meetings and workshops, compile minutes, and implement activities.
e. Delegate work, provide feedback, conduct and review performance appraisals, offer technical guidance on investigations, mentor staff, enforce policy adherence, and take disciplinary action when required.

Requirements
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) from a recognised institution.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar environment.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
- High level of integrity, professionalism and discretion.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Good research and report-writing skills.
- Problem-solving ability.
- Excellent investigative skills.
- Possess relevant language proficiency required in a province.
