Senior Accountant
About the Role
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts and reporting packs (Group-compliant) with meaningful financial analysis.
- Prepare quarterly finance reports with insights into performance, risks, trends and recommendations.
- Manage the monthly financial close (general ledger, trial balance, audit files, income statement and balance sheet reconciliations).
- Co-ordinate the annual budgeting process, consolidation, review and variance analysis.
- Monitor key financial KPIs and ensure timely corrective action.
- Prepare and submit IFRS-compliant financial statements.
- Manage external audit engagements and facilitate internal audit coordination.
- Review the fixed-asset register; ensure statutory and tax compliance.
- Provide leadership, mentorship and performance management to Assistant Accountants.
- Implement the company's financial strategy; maintain finance SOPs; coordinate finance-related projects.
Requirements
- Must be a recently qualified CIMA, CA or ACCA.
- Strong leadership and people-management ability with a track record in a leadership role.
- Honed appreciation of financial management, cost-accounting principles and IFRSs.
- Experience working in the health sector.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
