About the Role
Grade 11 (83 posts). Reporting to: Leading Firefighter. Location: Harare Central Fire Station. Department: Chamber Secretary.
Job objective: specialised training in firefighting and rescue operations.
Training focus areas
- Firefighting training.
- Specialised training in protection and rescuing of people, animals and property from fire and other dangers/disasters within and outside Harare.
- Providing emergency medical care within scope of practice.
- Checking and testing specialised firefighting and rescue equipment.
- Proper usage of specialised firefighting and rescue equipment.

Requirements
Qualifications and experience
- At least 5 G.C.E O-Level subjects at Grade C or better, including English Language, Mathematics and a Science subject.
- Between the ages of 18 and 22 years on the last day of the advert.
- No criminal record; vetting will be undertaken.
- Physically and mentally fit.
- A minimum height of 170 cm.
- A clean Class 2 driver's licence is an added advantage.
