About the Role
Roles & Responsibilities
- Respond to emergency call-outs and provide on-scene pre-hospital emergency care.
- Stabilise, package and safely transport patients to appropriate health facilities.
- Perform basic and advanced life support (CPR, oxygen therapy, trauma care) and administer emergency medications within scope.
- Assess and monitor patients en route and hand over to clinical staff; maintain accurate clinical, incident and transport records.
- Check, maintain and restock the ambulance, equipment and drug supplies; ensure infection-prevention compliance.
- Collaborate with doctors, mine rescue and safety teams; provide first-aid training and emergency drills.
Requirements
- Valid registration and practising certificate with AHPCZ.
- Current Basic and Advanced Life Support certification.
- At least 2 years' experience in emergency or pre-hospital care.
- Valid Class 4 driver's licence and a defensive-driving certificate (prerequisite).
- Strong assessment skills; able to work under pressure and on call; good communication and MS Office skills.
