About the Role
An Optometrist for the Cimas Marondera Optometry unit — to examine eyes, test sight, advise on visual problems and prescribe/fit spectacles or contact lenses.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the Optometry unit is registered with the Health Professions Authority and City Council.
- Identify unit requirements (CAPEX/OPEX, staff, equipment, projected patient numbers) and manage the budget.
- Examine patients' eyes for injury, disease, abnormality or vision defects and document findings.
- Monitor goods receipts, stock storage and optimum stock levels; participate in stock takes with Finance.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Optometry.
- Valid Open Practising Certificate.
- At least two years' private practical experience in Optometry.
- Membership with the Pharmaceutical Society of Zimbabwe.
- Clear communication, accurate reporting and problem-solving skills.
