Business Model Development Specialist

Unit: Industry Creation Unit. Location: CEIRD, Harare. The Business Model Development Specialist develops and evaluates business models through market research, stakeholder engagement and feasibility analysis to support innovation and enterprise growth.

Key responsibilities

• Create business models by analysing industry reports and competitor offerings.
• Conduct customer research through surveys and interviews; develop customer personas and value propositions.
• Develop and test value propositions with target audiences.
• Develop financial models to estimate revenue, costs and profitability.
• Conduct feasibility analysis covering technical, operational, regulatory and legal requirements.
• Evaluate business viability through SWOT analysis and financial projections.
• Present feasibility findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Develop financial projections and funding strategies.
• Organise training and coordinate facilitators and experts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Economics or a related field (a Master's degree is an added advantage).
• At least three years of experience in business development or entrepreneurship support.
• Understanding of business modelling, market research, feasibility analysis and financial projections.
• Experience in financial modelling, funding strategies and business planning.
• Strong analytical, strategic-thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, report-writing and presentation skills.
