About the Role

Grade E3 (1 post). Reports to: Director OSH & APWCS. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership, direction and oversight of the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Inspectorate, Occupational Hygiene and OSH Promotion functions of the Authority — ensuring effective enforcement of OSH legislation, regulations, standards and codes of practice to achieve safe, healthy and legally compliant workplaces.

Requirements

Qualifying requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health, Occupational Hygiene, Environmental Health, Public Health, Industrial Safety, Applied Sciences or a related field.
- A Master's Degree in a related field is an added advantage.
- A minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in OSH, factory inspection, occupational hygiene, labour inspection, engineering safety or workplace regulatory enforcement.
- Membership of a recognised professional body in OSH, Occupational Hygiene, Engineering, Environmental Health or related discipline.
- At least 3 years' experience at senior management level in a regulatory, inspection, compliance or OSH environment.
