Climate Change and Green Growth (CC&GG) Expert

About the Role
Individual consultancy (contract). The assignment shall be carried out for a minimum cumulative period of 24 months, with intermittent pre-agreed inputs. Location: Harare, with work across Hwange, Lupane and Binga Districts.
Key responsibilities
- Anchor the project's civil works and community frameworks within national climate policies and international green-growth agendas — delivering strategic climate integration, ecosystem frameworks and targeted community capacity building across Hwange, Lupane and Binga Districts.
- Design overarching technical frameworks, action plans and operational guidelines to align local development, ecosystem restoration and Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) with Zimbabwe's revised Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC.30).
- Based on NDC targets and the project-level Measurement, Reporting and Verification (MRV) process, determine whether investments implemented through the project are leading to, and have actually led to, a reduction in greenhouse-gas emissions.
