About the Role

A Zimbabwean company based in Harare, specialising in the supply of quality steel products and engineering solutions, is recruiting a Creditors Controller for its Finance Department.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full accounts payable (creditors) function from invoice processing to supplier payments.
- Prepare supplier payment schedules and ensure payments are made within agreed credit terms.
- Reconcile supplier accounts, investigate discrepancies and maintain creditors ageing reports.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly bank reconciliations.
- Process and verify supplier invoices against purchase orders and supporting documents.
- Assist with stock invoicing, inventory reconciliations and product costing with the Stock Controller.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls.
- Support month-end and year-end close and prepare creditors-related reports.
- Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to resolve queries and implement process improvements.

Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in Accounts Payable, Creditors or Finance.
- Experience in manufacturing, engineering, steel, wholesale or distribution is a distinct advantage.
- Progress towards or possession of ACCA, CIMA, CIS or equivalent is an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable, supplier and bank reconciliations, creditors ageing and stock costing.
- High proficiency in QuickBooks; excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills; high integrity.
