About the Role
The Ministry of Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage is hiring a Deputy Director, Heritage.
Role overview: collaborate with the National Archives of Zimbabwe, National Museums and Monuments of Zimbabwe and other stakeholders to promote effective management of national records, museums and historical monuments; participate in the preparations of Heroes Day Commemorations and the state proceedings for the burial of National Heroes and Heroines; and develop systems to ensure that all heritage sites and archival processes comply with statutory frameworks and regional and international cultural-preservation standards.

Requirements
Requirements & qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Cultural Heritage, History, Archaeology, Museum Studies or a related field (a Master's degree in any of the above is an added advantage).
- At least six years at Officer level.
- Knowledge of heritage systems.
