Deputy Registrar, Vehicle Section
About the Role
Role overview: participate in the formulation, implementation and review of vehicle-licence application and issuance policies, regulations and procedures; develop strategic plans for the Vehicle Licences Section at the Central Vehicle Registry; monitor the processing of vehicle-licence applications; develop synergies with stakeholders such as law-enforcement agencies, ZINARA and local authorities; prepare statements for law-enforcement agencies; and appear in a court of law as a state witness on vehicle-licence litigation.
Requirements
- A Degree in Social Sciences/Management or equivalent (a relevant Master's degree is an added advantage).
- A minimum of six (6) years' relevant experience at the Licensing/Registration Officer grade level.
- Knowledge of the motor industry and transport rules and regulations.
- Working knowledge of contract management and processes.
- Sound negotiating skills; strong leadership and team-building skills.
