About the Role

Position: Digitalization and ICT Manager

Position Summary:

Shelter Zimbabwe is embarking on a digital transformation journey aimed at improving operational efficiency, enhancing customer experience, strengthening data-driven decision-making, and supporting sustainable business growth.

The Digitalization Manager will lead the planning, implementation, and management of digital technologies, business systems, data initiatives, and IT infrastructure across the organization.

The incumbent will serve as the focal point for digital transformation, ensuring that technology investments align with business objectives and support the organization's strategic goals. The role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, business process improvement capabilities, and change management competencies.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategic Digital Transformation

  • Develop and implement the organization's digital transformation roadmap.
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and digitization.
  • Advise management on emerging technologies and digital innovation.

ICT and Systems Management

  • Manage ICT infrastructure, networks, hardware, software, and cloud services.
  • Oversee implementation and maintenance of business systems (ERP, CRM, HR, Finance, Property Management).
  • Ensure system security, reliability, and performance.

Data and Cybersecurity

  • Establish data management and reporting systems.
  • Develop dashboards and analytics to support decision-making.
  • Implement cybersecurity measures, policies, and disaster recovery plans.

User Support and Capacity Building

  • Provide ICT support and technical guidance.
  • Train staff on digital tools and systems.
  • Promote adoption of digital technologies across the organization.

Project and Vendor Management

  • Lead digital transformation projects from planning to implementation.
  • Manage technology vendors, contracts, and service providers.
  • Monitor project budgets, timelines, and outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL, CISSP, Microsoft, AWS, or Azure certifications are desirable.
  • Business experience and actuarial qualifications and experience will be added advantages as well as a Master's degree but not essential.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in ICT, Information Systems, or Digital Transformation.
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Experience implementing business systems, process automation, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Experience in real estate, construction, or project-based environments is an added advantage.
  • Business experience and actuarial qualifications and experience will be added advantages as well as a Master's degree but not essential.
