The consultant will carry out the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment and associated management plans for the "Mitigation through Sustainable Energy and Waste Management in Zimbabwe" project. The project aims to contribute to Zimbabwe's climate mitigation agenda through investments in renewable energy, water and wastewater management, sustainable waste management, clean cooking solutions, and green skills development.

• MSc in Environmental Studies/Science, Environmental Science, Engineering or Natural Resources Management.
• At least 7 years of experience undertaking ESIA studies, with experience in complex ESIAs and SEP.
• At least 10 years of professional experience in environmental and/or social assessment of projects.
• Experience with large-scale infrastructure projects in Africa and donor-funded projects.
• Experience in sustainable energy and waste management projects.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, project management and leadership skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Registration with Zimbabwe's Environmental Management Agency (EMA).
• Prior experience with UNICEF or another UN organisation is an asset.
