About the Role
An ESG & Sustainability Officer (Risk Department) to develop, implement and monitor the Bank's Environmental, Social and Governance framework.
Duties
- Establish ESG priorities, policies and governance aligned with the RBZ Climate Risk Guideline and IFRS standards.
- Integrate ESG risk screening into credit appraisal; conduct environmental and social risk assessments and provide ESG opinions to the Credit Committee.
- Support sustainable-finance and green-financing products; identify climate-related portfolio risks and monitor financed emissions.
- Prepare ESG KPIs, dashboards and disclosures; deliver ESG training; engage regulators, DFIs, donors and communities.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science/Law, Sustainability, Banking & Finance, Risk Management, Economics or a related field.
- Sustainability & Climate Risk certification (e.g. CFA ESG Certificate); Master's an advantage.
- Minimum 5 years in banking risk management, sustainability, environmental compliance and development finance.
- Strong environmental & social risk analysis, knowledge of Zimbabwe environmental law, and report-writing skills.
