CAFCA, making quality cables, is hiring: Fitter and Turner x2.

Job duties

• Carrying out maintenance, inspecting CAFCA machinery, repairing machines and carrying out diagnostics on machines.
• Training apprentices and artisans.
• Carrying out good housekeeping in the workshop and plant.

Personal attributes

Discipline, systematic, commitment, detail-oriented and organised.

Education and experience

• 5 O-Levels including Mathematics and English.
• Apprentice trained: Journeyman certificate.
• 5 years' post-apprenticeship experience; apprentice trained in manufacturing and mining.

Key competences, knowledge, skills and abilities

• Good machining skills.
• Able to interpret engineering drawings.
• Basic understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
