Laboratory Assistant — Sample Preparation

About the Role
Performance Laboratories (ISO 17025:2017 accredited) invites applications for a Laboratory Assistant — Sample Preparation, supporting critical sample-preparation activities for metallurgical and analytical testing at its Ruwa facility.
Duties:
- Assist with sample preparation: drying, crushing, splitting and pulverizing.
- Prepare equipment and workspaces for efficient, safe workflow.
- Participate in routine procedures including weighing, mixing and fluxing.
- Support housekeeping, documentation and consumables tracking; ensure quality and safety compliance.

Requirements
- National Certificate in Applied Chemistry.
- A Diploma in Metallurgy is an added advantage.
- Interest or experience in lab work, mining or technical environments.
- Physically fit; punctual, organised and able to follow instructions precisely.
- Willing to work night shifts, weekends or holidays as required.
