Loan Officer (Bulawayo & Watsomba)

About the Role
LAS Financial Services is recruiting Loan Officers (Bulawayo and Watsomba) to build and maintain a healthy portfolio of Individual and MSME clients.
Duties:
- Build and maintain a portfolio of quality clients to reach the target portfolio.
- Liaise with community organisations, business associations and entrepreneurs.
- Conduct loan evaluations per policy; assess each client's capacity and willingness to repay; ensure adequate guarantee/collateral.
- Participate in credit committees; underwrite quality new business and keep portfolio quality within accepted levels.
- Manage risk, comply with manuals, and report suspicious transactions per policy.

Requirements
- Diploma/HND or BSc in Business, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related numerate field.
- Excellent computer literacy and experience with Loan Management Information Systems and Excel.
- Two years' prior experience in lending or microfinance dealing with MSMEs.
- Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills; able to work in a team.
