Role overview
The Manager of Foreign Services is a key leadership position mandated to address staffing needs for diplomatic missions. The successful candidate is expected to possess strategic leadership and advisory skills, change-management expertise, strong negotiation and diplomacy skills, and public-sector reform experience to enhance Zimbabwe's diplomatic presence through effective human-capital management.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree with a bias in Human Resources, Occupational Psychology or equivalent (a relevant Master's degree is an added advantage).
- A minimum of six (6) years of relevant professional experience at Officer level or equivalent.
- Proven experience in Human Resources Management in the Public Sector.
- Strategic leadership and advisory skills; change-management expertise; strong negotiation and diplomacy skills; proven public-sector reform experience.
- Good analytical, organisational and counselling skills and capacity to multi-task.
- Knowledge of Public Service regulations, statutes and circulars.
- Practical knowledge of MS Access, Word, Excel and HRMIS.
- Knowledge of world dynamics; excellent written and oral English (a local language is an added advantage).
