Procurement Assistant (Fixed-term, Harare)

Location: Harare, Zimbabwe. Job type: fixed-term contract.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with preparing and processing procurement documents.
• Obtain quotations and support their evaluation and comparison.
• Maintain procurement records, files and registers.
• Assist with procurement plans and liaise with suppliers and user departments.
• Monitor orders and deliveries and maintain the supplier database.
• Prepare routine reports and correspondence.
• Support compliance with procurement policies, procedures and regulations.
• Assist with general procurement administration.

• Higher National Diploma or degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing and Supply Management or a related field.
• Good communication, organisational and record-keeping skills.
• Knowledge of procurement policies, procedures, legislation and regulations.
• Computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office.
• Accuracy, confidentiality and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong teamwork, integrity and attention to detail.
